Max Match Distance: arcsec

Welcome to the VAO Catalog Cross-Comparison Tool

The analysis and interpretation of multi-wavelength data in astronomy, especially from surveys, relies on the comparisons of source properties from different bandpasses, instruments and telescopes. The first step in such analysis is to perform a spatial cross-match between source tables. Such tables may be on-line catalog or may be user-supplied data in the form of table files.

The sections below are where you organize your data. You can upload tables to be compared (they will persist for about four days), select on-line catalogs to compare against, and access past comparison results.

Select a table from your uploaded list and an on-line catalog to compare against. Set the cross-comparison distance and press "Compare". The results will be shown here and be added to the history at the bottom of the page. Previous runs can be restored.

Both the uploaded tables and results are your files, so facilities have been added to let you delete them to avoid clutter. Results and uploaded tables will expire in a few days.
